C# and some confusion over language choice.

So throwing myself in completely for timed one hour sessions on this tutorial which I’m finding interesting and easy to follow.

Every now and again I jump onto google and look at what programming languages are recommended in terms of their industry relevance, projected longevity and ease of learning for beginners. There’s so much information, and Python keeps rearing it’s head… Having said that, some good advice seems to come through the ranks and that is you learn what you need to learn and CS structures from whatever language you’re learning, and apply it to whatever language you need for the industry you’d like to go into or the application you’re aiming for. I guess the unease is just that feeling of not wanting to waste any time at 35… But how will you learn without making those mistakes yourself? Learning how to accept failures as mapping directions is good for ego diminution.

It’s been maybe a week I’ve been working on this and it’s becoming slowly clearer that I’m definitely going to need to map out a direction for where this is all going to be applied in order to make the right choices along the way. App development? Web design? Program design for business? I’ll keep chipping away, ask all the questions and let it come to me I suppose…
